Sienna Miller In Emilio Pucci – Lancel Celebrates ’135 Years Of French Legerete’

Sienna Miller was in Paris last night to help Lancel celebrate 135 years of French Légèreté.

The actress, who hosted the event, opted for a Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 dress.

This black lace dress with a wrap fringed skirt is kinda subdued for Sienna who loves to stand out in colourful looks on the red carpet.

Considering she spent most of the day at the High Court yesterday, it’s understandable that she wanted to tone things down a bit.

Despite that I’m not a fan of the fringed details on the skirt. You have to have be Milla Jovovich to pull off that kind of detail.

Trademark ‘just got out of bed’ hair, black tights and a black clutch completed her look.

BBC Madia Vale Studios – Cheryl Cole In Preen Line

Cheryl Cole brought Madia Vale to a standstill today as fans and paparazzi gathered get a glimpse of out national treasure who arrived at the BBC Maida Vale Studios in London to record a ‘Live Lounge’ set and promote her new single.

She performed “Parachutes” and also covered Owl City’s “Fireflies” which you can view on BBC’s Live Lounge website.

Of course she arrived dressed to impress in nothing too flashy.

She wore a Preen Line mod asymmetric leather vest over a simple t-shirt and light blue skinny jeans.

Knowing that the paparazzi would have been in out in full force, she shielded her eyes from the flashbulbs with a pair of cool aviators.

Her look was paired with embellished Christian Louboutin Star Prive slingbacks and a Prada tote we’ve seen Jessica Alba carrying.

In the absence of VB’s street style, Cheryl is the perfect substitute.

Lea Michele In Marchesa – 2011 Emmy Awards

Lea Michele was on trend with her red gown on the red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards tonight.

She wore a very de ja vu Marchesa gown with a cowl back and rosette details on the shoulders.

In the pictures her hair looks good, but it looked kinda greasy on TV.

Lea wore a Lorraine
Schwartz large cocktail ring and opted for red Roger Vivier pumps.

I know this has nothing to do with fashion but I was very turned off by Lea in her interview.

You would think she was the only person on ‘Glee’ by the way she was talking, ‘My writers, my this and my that.’

Geez wind your neck in girl.

Piggy by Materious
Piggy offers a re-imaginative shift in the form, function, and meaning of the archetypal piggy bank. Saving money is commonly an act centered upon the self, especially for children—they anticipate eventual indulgence born out of prolonged, fiscal discipline. Piggy however, with stark simplicity, introduces the notion of charity and directs attention toward others less fortunate.

Disc by Patrick Gavin
Disc explores the idea of spatial boundaries and the role objects play within them. The black circle is used as a divider between different areas of activity (i.e. separating working from eating). This idea borrows from the Modernist notion of the Open Plan, creating a scalar shift from architecture to object. The form and use are ambiguous as a reminder to this concept, positioning Disc as something in between tableware, furniture, and an architectural model.

On Point And En Pointe For Fall ‘11

The weekend before the kickoff of New York fashion week, up-and-coming jewelry designer Bliss Lau threw a small dinner to toast her Fall ‘11 collection of feudally inspired chain and leather body jewelry—or “sensual armor,” as she calls it. (She often takes design inspiration from the arms and armor wing of the Met.) “I like the idea of covering the body,” Lau says of her long, draped pieces. “It’s the suggestion of clothing.”Sunday night, that suggestion was being made by a troupe of six ballerinas, each modeling a piece, who dipped before guests to a somber Philip Glass soundtrack. Lau’s fellow jewelry designer, Bijules’ Jules Kim—herself wearing a Bliss Lau “Kill Joy” vest—looked on approvingly. “Every season, designers want new ways to display their goods,” Kim said, “and it doesn’t necessarily have to be on models standing against a wall. Dancers are emotive.”The emotions they stirred were a bit different from those felt at sports bars all over town, as the Packers bested the Steelers, but Lau’s guests didn’t seem to mind. “Thank God we live in New York,” opined Michelle Harper, in a Rudi Gernreich top and vintage white mink vest. “You can Super Bowl Sunday all you want and eat like a million chicken wings—or you can have oysters with caviar and ballerinas prancing about you.”

Sidewalk Style: Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge In Mulberry

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was out doing exactly what I was doing this weekend: shopping at Zara.

But I very much doubt we purchased the same things.

Catherine kept her look super simple as she strolled the high street in London on Saturday afternoon.

She may have been shopping at a Spanish retailer, but she was wearing a British brand: Mulberry.

Her black turtleneck was teamed with a Mulberry Polly Push Lock pleated skirt in a black wool blend with a herringbone stitch.

The skirt was teamed with knee-high boots and her favourite Mulberry ‘Polly Push Lock’ bag which we’ve seen her carry a few times before.

You can buy Catherine’s Mulberry Polly Push Lock black herringbone wool skirt and her Mulberry Polly Push Lock leather bag from Stylebop.com.

Controversial supermodel Naomi Campbell has been singled out with the Special Recognition award by the British Fashion Council in honour of her positive impact on the fashion industry over the past 25 years. The council said Campbell has been a “hugely influential ambassador for British fashion.”

Campbell’s career is marked not only by its astonishing longevity but also for her breakthrough work on behalf of non-Caucasion models. Campbell was the first black model to grace the covers of Time and French Vogue and, at 40, she remains a catwalk superstar forging new ground for mature age models.

The tearful supermodel accepted the award wearing a jewel-encrusted black chiffon and velvet McQueen gown. Dedicating the award to her mother, Campbell said, “It’s overwhelming to be in your own country and to receive such an award.”

The star-studded awards ceremony at London’s Savoy Hotel Tuesday opened with a film paying tribute to the late designer Alexander McQueen.

The four-time winner of the council’s Designer of the Year prize, who took his own life in February, was given an award in honour of his career and his contribution to the global fashion industry.

Phoebe Philo, the creative director of Celine, was awarded Designer of the Year 2010. She was competing for the best designer prize against Christopher Kane and Erdem.

“Knight and Day” Munich Premiere – Cameron Diaz In Bottega Veneta

Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise were in Munich, Germany last night for the premiere of their new movie, “Knight and Day”.

Cameron looked stunning wearing a white Bottega Veneta dress from the Spring 2010 dress with a pleat which falls from her shoulder.

Her body looks amazing – what’s new?

I love everything about the look from the contrasting black belt, to her nude Pierre Hardy peep-toe heels.

The look has be modified to suit Cameron’s style as it’s shorter and fitted.

I can’t picture Cameron wearing this dress like the model, but I prefer the fit and styling with the looser belt.

Runway To Vogue Pre-BAFTA Party – Thandie Newton in Blumarine

The BAFTA Awards are about to start in London, and I wanted to save this vision of pure perfection to last.

At the Vogue Pre-BAFTA Party hosted by Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman at Cecconi’s restaurant in London on Friday night, Thandie Newton blew me away looking angelic wearing a pink Blumarine Spring 2009 dress.

The dress was presented as a halter, but Thandie opted to wear it as an off-the-shoulder dress.

Her exquisite look was completed with gold accessories, but she didn’t need those to shine, her inner glow radiated for all to see.

It is only Sunday, and I already a favourite for Best Dressed Of The Week.

Emma Watson In Rafael Lopez – “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ World Premiere

We all found a fault with Emma Watson’s look at the Warner Bros Leavesden Studios photocall last night.

It was either her hair, her make-up, her dress, her accessories or her shoes.

Tonight at the “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ World Premiere she was FLAWLESS.

It’s been a while since someone gave me goosebumps.

I didn’t think anyone could top Leighton Meester or Gwyneth Paltrow this week, but I think Emma does so with relative ease.

She showed us just how confident she is on the red carpet with her new ‘do wearing a stunning Rafael Lopez lace and feathered dress.

Her lace dress with a built in bra and feathered hem is just the type of look to show off her flirty feminine side, whilst still giving us a young fresh sophisticated look.

The original version of this dress had a longer skirt, so I’m glad Emma wore a modified version.

I’m now super excited to see what else she gives us during this promo tour. Hopefully the only way is up.

Charlotte Olympia pumps, Solange Azagury Partridge jewels and a Remembrance Day poppy completed her BDOTW worthy look.

One day, two BDOTY contenders. I love that everyone is upping their game.
